In normal cases, to achieve a HDR image, you need at least 3 different exposures of the same subject to record the highlight, midtone and shadow levels. This means one have to set up his camera on a tripod to ensure the images stay constant and uses at least 3 different kind of settings to take the photos. Let say, if you only have 1 photo and you wanted very badly to make this photo looks "HDRed", you can actually do that in Photoshop.

Sony released Sony Alpha A350 in Singapore during the annual IT Show event. The Alpha A350 is available in body only package at $1,199 SGD. For more details, please see Sony's website . It is surprising to note that Sony Alpha 300 is not available for sale according to the brochure. Perhaps Sony realised there is no significant difference between A200 and A300 and A300 will most probably dilute the demand for A200. Oh my god! I should have waited for Alpha 350 instead of Alpha 200 that I bought for $1075 with kits lens! I dont need the kit lens !! For an extra $100, I can have a DSLR with live view and 14.2 MP sensor! Anyway, below is a nice video of Sony Alpha 350 advertisement.

Have you ever accidentally delete all your photos in the memory card when you haven't transfer them to your computer yet? Sound familiar? This is one of my bad habits! I like to delete things whenever i felt disorganised! I delete emails at work, I delete photos at home and I like to throw away stuff that make me feel irritated. So, I always face this problem of deleting something that I want!
Forget about those expensive recovery programs. And don't bother going to specialised recovery company unless you arre going to recover some critical information. You can do it yourself for free!

A small consolation for those who do not have the budget to own a DSLR. Fresh out of the oven, Sony DSC H50 prosumer camera with Carl Zeiss lens up to 15x optical zoom and 9.1 megapixel sensor. Below is the official news release from Sony:
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 25, 2008 – Sony today announced the latest addition to its high-zoom camera line, the 9.1-megapixel Cyber-shot® DSC-H50 digital camera. It is the ideal choice for people looking for high zoom, high-resolution and speed. This new model utilizes a powerful Carl Zeiss® 15x optical zoom lens with Super SteadyShot® optical image stabilization to capture action at a distance. One of the main lens elements is manufactured from super low-dispersion glass, which helps it produce more exact point-to-point correspondence between an object and its image. The lens yields sharp, high-contrast images and reduces color fringing, even when shooting in telephoto ranges. The camera also features a large, 3-inch tilting LCD screen so you can shoot comfortably from nearly any position, at low and high angles. Its scratch-resistant, UV hard-coat finish adds a premium look and feel that mirrors the performance of the model.
