Having a bad face day especially on a big day that you will need to have alot of photographs taken? Will your pimples or blemishes accompany you through your life everytime you gasps in horror looking at the photographs? Don't worry, you have Photoshop to save the day. The ultimate goal of this tutorial is not to teach you just to remove the blemishes but make the photo look smooth, real and nice.
Step 1: Open the photo in Photoshop. If necessary, zoom into the problem areas where you can see the skin imperfections clearly.
Step 2: Choose the Clone Stamp Tool by pressing S or selecting in the toolbar. Select a brush size of diameter slightly larger than the pimple or blemish you are going to "erase" away. Different size of pimple, you will have to select a different size of brush. Make the brush "soft" by adjusting the hardness to 0%. Step 3: Under the mode, select Lighten. This will ensure only those pixels darker than the sampled area will be affected. Step 4: Hold on to Alt key and click on an area near to the pimple. The area will be a perfect smooth skin surface and yet retain the same amount of exposure when compared to the problem area. Ensure that the area is really close, if not the result will turn out real fake and the photo will be spoiled.
Step 5: After this is done, just move the mouse over to the pimple and click ONCE. This will remove the blemish immediately. Do not drag or paint over it! Use this technique on rest of the area if there is any. If the blemish is the lighter colour, you have to choose the mode to be "darken" instead in Step 3. To make things perfect, you can refer to "How to whiten your teeth in Photoshop " to make your teeth look cleaner and brighter!
