Picnik is not your regular activity that you have with your familiy every Sunday at the park. It is a great online photo editing application that let you does most of the adjustment for FREE. Similar to SnipShot, this awesome little application does not require you to pay anything and not even registeration to use its functions. It evens allow you to retrieve photos from major social networking/photo sites such as Flickr, PhotoBucket, MySpace and FaceBook.

Just simply grab your photo by logging in to your favourite site and retrieve your previously stored photos. You can almost do anything to the photos with Picnik, ranging from exposure adjustments to cropping and resizing.

The list of functions that can be found in the free version includes:

Saturation Adjustment

There is a key feature that is truely outstanding and that is the function that can replicate the effect of "Picking Colour ". Now, you do not need any more complicated photoshop steps to do the same thing. All you need to do now is go to "Create" function of Picnik and choose a black and white effect. Just brush over the subjects that you wishes to restore the colour. Simple and fast!
